Services

We provide accessible healthcare services to farm workers and others by addressing their unique needs. Our services provide a bridge between our patients and the health care system.

Support

MMHP’s work and community connections are greatly enhanced by our volunteers. Getting involved with MMHP not only results in mobile unit visits – it also builds stronger community relationships.

ABOUT US

We Work Across the State of Maine

We are a network of doctors, nurses, counselors, Community Health Workers and health educators in Maine that work together to provide health care to agriculture and aquaculture workers, seafood processors, and their families. The Maine Mobile Health Program is Maine’s only organization dedicated to delivering healthcare directly to these communities statewide.

01

Health Screenings

Programs that help anyone improve or maintain their health are key. Screening for chronic health problems such as hypertension and diabetes and providing important information about healthy lifestyles improves farmworkers’ ability to continue to work and make a living.

02

Behavioral Health Support

Our behavioral health services include the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of mental health conditions, substance use disorders, stress-related issues, and other behaviors that affect overall well-being. These services involve various interventions, such as counseling, therapy, medication management, and rehabilitation, aimed at promoting emotional, psychological, and social well-being of our patients.

Access to Care

Mobile rural healthcare is crucial as it overcomes significant barriers in rural areas by bringing medical services directly to workers in rural communities, improving access to preventive and primary care, managing chronic diseases, and reducing healthcare costs
